Why is Andalucia the perfect adventure destination?
It’s not just the magnetic draw of 320 days of sunshine annually, that brings more an more visitors to discover Andalucía, but it certainly helps! The region might be popular for the superb coastline, but it’s also about much more than simply Paella and beaches. It’s completely contrasting in its landscape – from the arid desert of Almería, to the lush foothills of the Sierra Nevada, with the highest peak in Spain, across to the wild Atlantic coast of Cadiz. The region specialises in its own products from region to region, each doing at least one thing beautifully. Try a sliver of paper-thin Jamón, air dried in the mountains, or succulent seafood on the coast. Málaga wine, sweet as a dessert, or a dry Fino from Jerez, perfect with some local olives.
